It was a memorable night at the Breslin Center on Tuesday.
Michigan State basketball overcame a sloppy start to knock off ranked foe Purdue on Tuesday. The Spartans went on a run late in the first half to gain the lead going into the break, and never looked back in the second half. Michigan State beat the Boilermakers by the final score of 75-66.
Michigan State got impressive performances from numerous players, with six different players scoring at least nine points in the win. Jase Richardson led the Spartans in scoring with 12 points and behind him was Frankie Fidler with 11 points.
With the win, Michigan State improves to 21-5 overall and 12-3 in Big Ten play. Michigan State is now just a half game back of rival Michigan in the Big Ten standings, with those two teams squaring off later this week in Ann Arbor, Mich.
