Today, Richard Childress Racing revealed the paint scheme for Cleetus McFarland and his NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series debut. Driving the No. 33 Chevy for RCR, McFarland is sponsored by Tommy’s Express Car Wash.
Cleetus McFarland signed a rather controversial multi-year deal with RCR earlier this season. Since the announcement last week, it has caused quite a stir in the NASCAR community. The deal even earned criticism from Kyle Busch, who races for RCR in the Cup Series.

A patriotic scheme, expect nothing less from Cleetus. He’s also got a bald eagle right on the front of the hood.

Cleetus McFarland has made a living as a YouTuber for years now. He has millions of followers and subscribers online, and has shown an interest in motorsports even before his NASCAR and ARCA endeavors.
Drag racing, super stadium trucks, boat racing, and more – Cleetus has had a taste of many different motorsports. However, despite his accomplishments in those disciplines, he has not wowed in his stock car races up to this point.

In six races across ARCA and the NASCAR Truck Series, McFarland’s best result was a P9 finish at Charlotte a year ago in ARCA. Even in that race, he botched a restart by taking the front row on old tires, spun his wheels, and caused a multi-car wreck. He didn’t make it far in the Daytona Truck Series race before wrecking this season.
Rockingham is a track that demands control. It is a fast track that is barely under a mile in length. The pole-winning time last year was 22.630 seconds, 149.5 MPH. This race could really reveal Cleetus McFarland’s lack of experience and quickly.
