Ohio State football is one of the best programs in the country at developing rising stars. With professionals like CJ Stroud and Marvin Harrison Jr. having come through Columbus, the Buckeyes know a thing or two about players with superstar potential, and they may have another one on their hands with commit Brady Edmunds.
Edmunds has already committed to Ohio State, giving that notice on December 2, 2024. From Huntington Beach, California, Edmunds grew up a Buckeyes fan and knew he wanted to play for Ohio State once the offer came in. He is ranked as the No. 2 quarterback in the Class of 2027.
Per 247Sports Composite ranking, Edmunds is a five-star talent and the second-best player from the state of California. Having been recruited by basically every top program, including Georgia, Edmunds chose Ohio State, and it should be thankfully he did.
Edmunds was recently at a Rivals Camp, and they dropped impressive footage of the future Buckeye.
The Buckeyes have multiple top-15 players in the class as they have already received a commitment from Jamier Brown, the No. 1-ranked receiver in the class. With many of those players having yet to commit, expect the Buckeyes to continue to strengthen their presence in the class, and with this start to their recruiting, they could end with the top incoming class from that group.
With Edmunds and Brown, the future is bright in Columbus.
