Font (22-9 MMA, 12-8 UFC) looks to rebound from a unanimous decision loss to David Martinez in September. Prior to that setback, Font notched back-to-back decision wins over Kyler Phillips and Jean Matsumoto. Font, 38, currently holds the No. 13 spot in the UFC’s bantamweight rankings.

Rosas Jr. (11-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC) faces his highest-ranked opponent to date. The 21-year-old enters on a four-fight streak with wins over Terrence Mitchell, Ricky Turcios, Aori Qileng and Vince Morales. The lone setback of his career came against Christian Rodriguez at UFC 287.

Serving as a spotlight fight that the UFC has been trying to put together for some time, Rob Font will finally meet Raul Rosas Jr.
Although I’m still not completely sold on Rosas Jr. as a prospect, there’s no denying that his style, at least on paper, matches up nicely with Font.

Font has made improvements to his MMA grappling in recent years, but there’s no denying Font’s traditional trouble with defending takedowns. That said, if Font can show the ability to get up without too much trouble, then I believe that the New England native can start to chip away at Rosas Jr. down the stretch.
I’m not sure I can confidently pick Font in that hypothetical uphill battle, so I’ll reluctantly take Rosas Jr. to win a decision in a fight that is dog or pass from a betting perspective.
