Heading into the bout, UFC women’s Bantamweight champion Kayla Harrison took some shots at Rousey. She called her irrelevant.
“I don’t think we should talk about this because I don’t think I have anything nice to say,” Harrison said on Death Row MMA a couple of weeks ago. “She said this is the best female fight of all time. How old is Gina, though? She hasn’t fought in 17 years. Like, shut up.”

But Rousey isn’t having it.

The longtime UFC, wrestling star fires back
“Gina is so relevant she’s the reason the 145-pound division even exists,” Rousey said. “I’m so relevant that the only reason she has a job in the UFC is because of me. Kayla is so irrelevant that she couldn’t even keep that division around.”
She doubled down, too.
“Honestly, she’s just sour because no matter what she does, she has the charisma of a wet towel and will always be in mine and Gina’s shadows,” Rousey continued.

“So, the next time she wants to talk (expletive), she should look down at her feet and consider who paved the path she is walking on. Oh, wait, she can’t look down at her feet because she’s too busy holding onto her belt with a neck brace,” Rousey added. “And then she goes on and says I lied about training in Judo in Canada in 2006. Who the (expletive) are you to call me a liar? I was training there for five months. (Expletive), you weren’t even there.”
