The Buffalo Sabres are looking to add to their roster. Given their current group, it is fair to argue that they could use another option for their top six.
Recently, we at The Hockey News Buffalo discussed New York Islanders forward Brock Nelson as a player worth targeting. However, the Islanders also have another interesting forward the Sabres could keep an eye on – Kyle Palmieri.

Palmieri, 33, is currently in the final season of his contract. Thus, if the Islanders are unable to jump up the Metropolitan Division standings and find themselves out of the playoff race later on in the season, Palmieri could become available.
Palmieri would have the potential to be a strong addition to the Sabres’ forward group. He is off to a strong start this season with the Islanders, posting six goals and 12 points in his first 15 games. Furthermore, during this past season, he had 30 goals and 54 points in 82 games with the Islanders. Thus, the veteran winger can undoubtedly put the puck in the net.
Thus, if Palmieri becomes available this season, the Islanders should keep him on their targets list.
