Sarah Hubbard breaks double 50-metre round barebow record with 1282

Sarah Hubbard has broken the double 50-metre barebow world record, shooting 1282 out of a possible 1440 at the NCB Double 720 at Knutsford Sports Club, UK on 12 July 2026.

The mark remains subject to ratification.

Hubbard added five points to the previous world record of 1277, set by Italy‘s Giulia Mantilli in 2025.

“To walk away with the double was just incredible. Just an absolutely brilliant day,” said Hubbard.

It is Hubbard’s third world record in as many months, after she broke the single 50 metre round in May, and then broke it again in June

“It was a really tough day, really draining weather-wise with the heat and staying focused. The focus I kind of had every time I shot was intense, but I needed it to be to keep on track and to shoot those good ends. I deliberately didnt add up my last scores as I went – I didnt want to walk into that last end thinking, ‘right, I need a 54’,” she said.

“My next goal is obviously to push the scores even higher. Its a bit more relaxing because you’re not trying to get something you havent got!”
