The Oklahoma Sooners are the hottest team in the nation on the recruiting trail. Oklahoma is making early investments in their class of 2027 and, so far, the Sooners have the nation’s No. 1 recruiting class in the country after their recent surge.
After Oklahoma, the Texas A&M Aggies have the second-best recruiting class in the 2027 cycle. The Georgia Bulldogs and coach Kirby Smart check in as the fifth-best recruiting class in the country and the third-best class in the SEC. Georgia recently added to its class of 2027 with a commitment from four-star cornerback Jerry Outhouse.

The SEC is expected to land another elite recruiting haul in the class of 2027. However, not every SEC program is off to a strong start in the 2027 cycle. Just four SEC teams rank among the nation’s top-20 recruiting classes, per 247Sports.
Texas has the No. 8 recruiting class in the nation and joins Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Georgia in the top-10. No other SEC program is ranked among the top-20.
We are still very early in the class of 2027 recruiting cycle with the early signing period being in December.
