UFC on ABC 9 is starting to take shape.
In the promotion’s first trip to Abu Dhabi this year, numerous fights have been added to the July 26 event headlined by former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker (26-8 MMA, 17-6 UFC) vs. Reinier de Ridder (20-2 MMA, 3-0 UFC) at Etihad Arena.
Shara Magomedov (15-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC) will look to rebound from his first-career loss to Michael Page when he takes on Marc-Andre Barriault (17-9 MMA, 6-8 UFC), who makes a quick turnaround after knocking out Bruno Silva this past Saturday at UFC 315 in Montreal. UFC CEO Dana White announced the matchup in an Instagram live Tuesday night.
Also on the card is a light heavyweight matchup between Nikita Krylov (30-10 MMA, 11-8 UFC) and rising contender Bogdan Guskov (17-3 MMA, 3-1 UFC).
The current UFC on ABC 9 lineup includes:
