As the Chicago Sky take on the Dallas Wings on Thursday, veteran Sky guard Courtney Vandersloot has a chance to make some history. Vandersloot is just nine points away from becoming the franchise’s all-time leading scorer, but the person who currently holds the title is none other than former Chicago guard Allie Quigley — Vandersloot’s wife.
Quigley and Vandersloot met while playing for the Sky and have been married since 2018. Quigley played her last WNBA season in 2022, finishing with 3723 points across 10 seasons in Chicago.

Pregame, Vandersloot joked to the WNBA about the dynamics of one-upping her wife: “I’m happy it’s my wife, but it’s my turn now,” she said.
According to Vandersloot, Quigley is supportive of Vandersloot surpassing her record.
“She said that if it had to be somebody, she’s happy it’s me,” Vandersloot said.
The guard pair overlapped for all 10 of Quigley’s seasons in Chicago. Vandersloot spent the first 12 seasons of her career with the Sky, before joining the New York Liberty in 2023.
The veteran guard, after winning a WNBA championship in New York, returned to the Sky in the offseason, giving the young Chicago team some much-needed veteran leadership. Now, Vandersloot has a chance to cement herself in Sky history — but at least she’s keeping it in the family.
