No. 20 Clemson continued its impressive run Saturday night, rolling past California 77–55 in Berkeley behind a stifling defensive effort and balanced scoring.
After Cal connected on a few early three-pointers, the Tigers’ quickly flipped the script with relentless pressure that turned into long scoring droughts for the Bears. The Tigers used a decisive 23–3 run in the first half to seize control and carried a commanding 39–20 lead into the locker room.

Clemson’s depth once again proved to be a major advantage. R.J. Godfrey led the way with 13 points on efficient shooting, while Ace Buckner matched him with 13 off the bench and added four assists. Jake Wahlin and Carter Welling each chipped in 11, and nine Tigers found their way into the scoring column.
The Tigers shot 55 percent from the field and knocked down 12 three-pointers, numbers that kept Cal from ever finding a rhythm. When the Bears attempted to make a push in the second half, Godfrey answered with seven straight points to push the lead back to 22 and effectively end any comeback hopes.
With the win, Clemson improved to 20–4 overall and 10–1 in ACC play, extending its conference road winning streak to 14 games and moving into a tie for first place in the league.
