The Indiana Fever have a big game on Sunday against the Chicago Sky, a highly anticipated rivalry showdown. The Fever are seeking back-to-back wins after their 80-70 victory over the Las Vegas Aces on Thursday. The Sky are in dire need of a bounce-back win after a 38-point blowout loss to the Seattle Storm, their fourth consecutive defeat.

The game will be played at Chicago’s United Center, which means the Fever are traveling for another road game. The players flew to Chicago on Saturday, and Sophie Cunningham and Lexie Hull wasted no time making their presence known in the Windy City.

Both Cunningham and Hull took to Instagram to post about their arrival in Chicago. Cunningham shared a video from the team bus, which featured a quick cameo from Caitlin Clark. Hull posted a snap from what appears to be Oak Street Beach along the Lake Michigan shoreline.

Fever Return to Chicago

Sunday’s matchup will be the third time the Fever and the Sky face off this season. Indiana hosted their first clash during the WNBA’s opening weekend, with Clark and Co. securing a 93-58 blowout win at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

On June 7, the battle shifted to United Center in Chicago. The Fever, who were without Clark at the time due to a leg injury, were still able to win on the road, 79-52.

The Fever have now returned to Chicago for a second and final time this season, and they will be looking to make it 3-0 against their biggest rivals.

Fever-Sky Rivalry Showdown

The Fever will need strong performances from Cunningham and Hull, among others, as they try to take down the Sky on their home court. Cunningham has been on a heater of late, scoring in double digits in her last six games.

The 6-foot-1 guard will likely get the nod to start again with Clark still out of action due to a groin injury.

As for Hull, the veteran guard will want to bounce back after being held scoreless in Indiana’s win over the Aces. She’s one of the best defenders on the roster, and the Fever will need her to be on point on both ends of the floor come Sunday.
