Sophie Cunningham Turns Heads With Her Outfit for Fever-Liberty Game originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
The Indiana Fever are back in action on Tuesday night. They kick off the second half of the season with a road game against the defending champions, the New York Liberty, who handed them a 98-77 loss in their last game prior to the All-Star break.

Sophie Cunningham got her first start of the season in that loss, and she responded with 12 points, four rebounds, a steal and two triples in 26 minutes of action. She got the nod to start again on Tuesday against New York as coach Stephanie White continues to experiment with her rotation amid Caitlin Clark’s injury absence.
What cannot be denied, however, is that Cunningham was dressed for the occasion yet again. The Fever posted a set of photos featuring the players’ pregame outfits, and Cunningham grabbed the fans’ attention with her gameday ensemble.

Cunningham went for a laid-back sporty-chic vibe with her fit for Tuesday’s game. The veteran guard wore a fitted, mocha-brown spaghetti-strap crop top, which she paired with a light gray sweatshirt that she casually draped over her shoulders.
For her bottom, Cunningham went for loose-fitting, high-waisted white wide-legged pants, which added a bright contrast to her darker, earth-toned top.
The fit drew all sorts of reactions from fans on social media.

Sophie Cunningham Calls Out WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert
Apart from being a key piece in the Fever’s rotation, Cunningham has also made waves off the court with her outspoken nature. The 6-foot-1 guard proved just that on Sunday by sending a direct message to league commissioner Cathy Engelbert concerning the ongoing Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) negotiations between the players’ union and the WNBA.

When asked to share her opinion about how the 44-game schedule of the WNBA season could potentially be expanded, the Fever star got brutally honest with her response.
“Yeah, you can just tell Cathy to pay us and then we can have a discussion,” Cunningham said on Sunday during Fever practice.
Cunningham is the type who calls it as it is and is unafraid to let her true feelings be known. She has proven just that with this bold statement for the WNBA’s head honcho, as Cunningham expressed her staunch support for the call to increase players’ salaries across the league.
