Both Sophie Cunningham and Lexie Hull played key roles for the Indiana Fever in their incredible run in the 2025 WNBA season.
Cunningham averaged 8.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.0 steal in 30 games played for Indiana. In the Commissioner’s Cup championship, she stepped up big time, tallying 13 points and seven rebounds off the bench to help the Fever secure a 74-59 victory.

Hull, for her part, had her best season in the pros last season. She averaged career-highs of 7.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.2 steals per game.
The two helped Indiana make it all the way to the WNBA semifinals, where they lost to the Las Vegas Aces after pushing the series to a full five games.
Throughout the season, Cunningham and Hull grew close, often bonding off the court and even calling each other “twins.”

With that said, it’s not surprising that they drew plenty of attention when Hull appeared as a guest in Cunningham’s “Show Me Something” podcast. Hull made an appearance in Tuesday’s episode of the show, discussing her new business, the WNBA’s growth and bonding with her Fever teammates, among many other topics.

Fans absolutely loved the interview with Hull, with many even saying that it’s the best episode of the show so far. Interestingly, many others couldn’t help but mention how the two are free agents and expressed hope that they would return to the Fever for the 2026 WNBA season.
“So cool seeing Lexi and Sophie together. I hope they are both at Indy this year, we need them both,” a fan wrote in the comment section of the YouTube video. Another one said, “I hope both stunning Sophie & sexy Lexie return to Indiana Fever.”
A fan added, “We hope to keep you both in Indy throughout your careers. The chemistry of the core players is unmatched anywhere, any sport.”

“Please Sophie and Lexi stay with the fever, this is the year,” a poster stated.
“I love these 2 ladies and so want them on Indiana this season,” a fifth follower shared.
Another viewer urged, “Both of you need to come back to the Fever this year. It’s such a great lineup with you in it.”
Hull is a restricted free agent, which means the Fever can match any offer made to her in free agency. Cunningham, meanwhile, is an unrestricted free agent and has said before that she’s looking to get paid.

It remains to be seen if the Fever can bring back both players, especially since they will have to pay Kelsey Mitchell, who is also a free agent.
The 2026 WNBA season kicks off on May 8. With that said, fans should know soon if both Cunningham and Hull will be part of the team for the new campaign.
