Michigan State football is one of 10 teams still in the running for a 2026 Maryland cornerback that’s garnered interest from many big-time programs.

Sean Johnson of Severn, Md. revealed his top 10 schools list on Thursday, and Michigan State made the cut. The Spartans were joined by the following other schools: Virginia, Florida State, Wisconsin, NC State, South Carolina, Maryland, Penn State, Indiana and Syracuse.

Johnson is currently unranked on 247Sports. He plays for Archbishop Spalding, and is listed at 6-foot-1 and 175 pounds.

Michigan State is one of the nearly 20 schools that have extended Johnson an offer thus far in his recruitment, according to 247Sports. Boston College, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Kentucky, Wake Forest and West Virginia were some of the notable schools to offer Johnson and not make his top 10 schools list.
