Michigan State football is working to flip a Big 12 commit from the Windy City.
Defensive lineman Daniel Howard of Chicago announced on Thursday that he’s received an offer from the Spartans. Howard announced the offer from the Spartans via his social media X account.

Howard is a three-star prospect in the 2026 class that is currently committed to Iowa State. He has been committed to the Cyclones since early April.
Howard ranks as the No. 69 defensive lineman in 247Sports’ rankings for the 2026 class. He is also listed as the No. 12 player from Illinois in the class.
Michigan State is one of nearly 10 schools to extend an offer to Howard. He also holds offers from Iowa State, Kansas State, Cincinnati, Kansas, Northern Illinois, Toledo and Illinois State.
