The Syracuse men’s basketball program has confirmed a date for a fourth non-conference game this upcoming November. This time, the Orange will host the Lafayette Leopards, in just the second game between the schools in the past 30 seasons.

Syracuse, this week, confirmed that it will play against Lafayette on Nov. 16 at the JMA Wireless Dome. This will be the 10th time the schools have played against one another.
The series between Syracuse and Lafayette dates back to 1957. Syracuse has won all nine of the previous matchups between the schools. The most recent game took place during the 2021-22 season when Syracuse won 97-63.
Lafayette was 11-21 overall and 8-10 in conference play last season. The Leopards compete as a member of the Patriot League conference. Lafayette last qualified for the NCAA Tournament in 2015.
The matchup with Lafayette marks the eighth confirmed time and dates so far for the upcoming Orange basketball regular season schedule. Other confirmed games and dates include:

–The team’s first home regular season game will be against New Haven on Nov. 2
–The Orange will also play Central Connecticut State later that week, at home, on Nov. 5.
–A game inside Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis against Indiana on Nov. 9.
–As a part of the ACC/SEC Challenge, the host will take on Oklahoma on Dec 1.
–Syracuse will host Colgate on Dec. 8
–Syracuse will play against Canisius on Dec. 16 at the JMA Wireless Dome.
–In a revival of an old BIG EAST matchup, the Orange will play Providence in Boston at the TD Garden on Dec. 19.
An announced game against St. John’s plus all conference games dates and times have yet to be confirmed.

–‘Boeheim’s Army,’ the team representing Syracuse in the annual TBT event, has advanced to the semifinal round. The tournament now shifts from a best-of-three series to a single elimination format for the semifinals. Find out how where and when ‘Boeheim’s Army’ is playing Sunday.
–The overall finish to the TBT tournament is still yet to determined, but for Orange basketball fans, Thursday’s night victory in Central New York felt special. Despite the win not featuring this year’s roster or a team competing in the NCAA, the Orange basketball fanbase needed a home win to regenerate local excitement for basketball action again.
–One of the ways to generate excitement for the men’s basketball program is to have events for fans, alumni, donors to feel more connected to the team.
