Yesterday was National Signing Day for football and Fran Brown added one more player to the 2026 class. Safety Terrance Johnson of American Heritage HS in Florida committed to the Orange.
Johnson was unranked and had offers from USF, Oregon State, UMass and Wofford. The 6’2” 190 lb safety had 11 interceptions this season and was named the 4-A Defensive Player of the Year as he helped lead American Heritage to a state title. Here’s a look at Johnson in action:

The good news was buffered by two 2027 decommits. Three-star athlete Davion Crumitie has re-opened his commitment, but said he’d still take an official visit to Syracuse. Three-star defensive lineman Stanley Montgomery also announced he’s re-opening his recruitment. We’ll see if the Philadelphia native will still consider the Orange as he takes more visits.
Stay tuned for more recruiting news as we wait for Syracuse’s spring schedule to be announced.
