Ta’Niya Latson may be the No. 1 scorer in the country, but her passing attack is nothing to ignore.
On Thursday night, the junior guard led Florida State women’s basketball (19-4, 9-2 ACC) to a 101-86 victory over Virginia (12-12, 4-8) recording a double-double with 27 points, 12 assists and five rebounds.
At first, Latson didn’t look in sync. She was only 4 for 11 in the first half and allowed three turnovers, but the Seminoles still had a comfortable 49-31 lead.
Latson was in her bag the next period when she dropped 11 points and four assists. She approved her field goal percentage by shooting 50 percent in the second half. Latson was also 5 for 7 in free throws.

With her facilitating ability, Latson got everyone involved for the Seminoles, which had three more players in double figures and reached 100 points for the seventh time this season.
In her first two years, Latson has never recorded a double-double. However, the nation’s top scorer has five double-doubles and a triple-double in her career-defining season as the Seminoles continue their six-game winning streak.
