CHICAGO – Tennessee basketball’s Men’s NCAA Tournament run continues into a third consecutive Elite Eight appearance.
The No. 6 Vols (25-11) are set to play No. 1 Michigan (34-3) on March 29 at the United Center (2:15 p.m. ET, CBS). They upset No. 2 Iowa State, 76-62, in the Sweet 16.

Tennessee could make history with a win over Michigan, leading to its first Final Four appearance.
Michigan’s defense held Alabama to just 28 points in the second half to secure the 90-77 Sweet 16 victory. The Wolverines withstood a 35-point outing from Labaron Philon Jr. with 33 bench points and a 23-point, 12-rebound double-double from Big 10 Player of the Year, Yaxel Lendeborg.
