Tennessee football and coach Josh Heupel have offered Upperman tight end Colton Johnson, Johnson announced on March 4, adding to the junior’s growing list of suitors.
It’s been a nice week for Johnson, who got an Alabama football offer on March 3.

Johnson is a 6-foot-4, 225-pound junior who also plays linebacker for the Bees and was named a TSWA All-State selection at that position last season. Johnson has 45 offers according to 247Sports, including Vanderbilt, Florida State, Ole Miss, Nebraska, North Carolina and Virginia Tech.

Upperman coach Adam Caine told The Tennessean on March 3 that Johnson is just the second player in program history with an FBS offer. The other was 2026 quarterback Bronzden Chaffin, an Appalachian State signee.
