Former Colorado quarterback Ryan Staub committed to Tennessee on Sunday, according to Pete Nakos and Hayes Fawcett of On3.
The redshirt sophomore quarterback entered the NCAA transfer portal following the 2025 football season. He appeared in 10 games for the Buffaloes from 2023-25.

The The 6-foot-1, 200-pound quarterback completed 53-of-98 passing attempts for 681 yards, four touchdowns and four interceptions. He also totaled eight rushing yards and one rushing touchdown on 33 rushing attempts.
Staub is from West Ranch High School in Stevenson Ranch, California. He compiled a 19-4 record as a starter at West Ranch. Staub totaled five 300-yard passing games, one contest of 400-plus passing yards, four games with five-plus touchdown passes and one contest with six-plus passing touchdowns.
The NCAA transfer portal closed Jan. 16 after opening Jan. 2. Student-athletes could only enter the NCAA transfer portal during this period, but can still sign with a school at any point since they are in the transfer portal.
Once a student-athlete notifies a school regarding transferring, a school has 48 hours to enter their name into the transfer portal. Once entered, a student-athlete can be contacted.
