Texas A&M will face the Utah State Aggies, and both teams are looking to move to 2-0 to start the 2025 season. Coach Mike Elko is entering his second year in Aggieland with a veteran team, a few new faces, and a slightly more difficult schedule.
Utah State brings a veteran quarterback and a dynamic running back who can cause problems for any defense. Last season, they finished in the top ten (6th) in offense. However, their defense finished at the bottom at a staggering 130th, and if they do not find a way to contain the A&M offense, the game could get out of hand early.

The guys in the Maroon & White looked good during Week 1 against UTSA and appeared not to have fully opened up the playbook. They also proved that if you sell out to stop the run, they have the talent to beat you through the air. On the defensive side, they want to show that the mistakes made last Saturday have been cleaned up with better communication.
However, the overall talent on the A&M roster, combined with a coaching staff that wants to take control of this game early and get their starters out early to avoid any injuries. Texas A&M is coming into week 2 with a healthy and determined team that wants to take the program to the next level.
