Ahead of No. 19 Texas A&M and No. 8 Notre Dame, the Aggie media team released its weekly uniform update, providing insight into what the team will wear on the road in one of the most challenging college football environments. After home wins over UTSA and Utah State, Texas A&M’s offense has looked the part, while the defense has had its moments, but has yet to play a complete game.
This week, coach Mike Elko has been consistent in stating that stopping Notre Dame’s running back duo, consisting of Jeremiyah Love and Jadarian Price, who hurt the Aggies during the 2024 season opener en route to a 23-13 Irish win in Kyle Field. Schematically, Elko knows that Coach Marcus Freeman and new Notre Dame offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock will want to establish the run, while also unleashing QB CJ Carr against Texas A&M’s solid but untested secondary.

All signs point to Notre Dame protecting home field as the more desperate team after losing to Miami in Week 1. Still, the Aggies are playing with house money and have every chance to knock off the blue-blood titans if the following things occur: Texas A&M’s running game rushes for at least 180 yards, QB Marcel Reed throws for over 200 yards and multiple touchdowns, the defense limits Notre Dame’s rushing attack, tackles in space, and pressures CJ Carr. Lastly, this game will likely come down to who wins the turnover battle.
Now, back to the Aggies’ uniform reveal. Texas A&M will wear one of the program’s coolest road uniforms, which many of us refer to as their “icy whites,” featuring an all-white look from helmet to jersey and pants. Personally, this was the right choice to completely separate from Notre Dame’s classic navy blue and gold helmets.
Texas A&M will face Notre Dame in South Bend on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. The game will air on NBC.
