Texas A&M men’s basketball is facing its third road game in its last four contests ahead of a week out of action.
Following a convincing win over Oklahoma to complete a season sweep of the Sooners, A&M (16-5, 5-3 SEC) has no time to dwell on the accomplishment as they travel to Columbia to take on a South Carolina Gamecocks (10-11, 0-8 SEC) team hungry for its first conference win.
Through the first eight games of SEC play, South Carolina is last in the league in opponent 3-point percentage (35.4) and 15th in defensive rebounds per game (23.9).

The Aggies have continued dominating around the rim, collecting 47 rebounds to the Sooners’ 19 Tuesday. A&M is No. 2 in the conference and sixth in the country in total rebounds with 883 (42 per game).
A&M is also fourth in the SEC in scoring defense, allowing 65.9 points per game. The Aggies’ effort on the boards and tenacity on the defensive side of the court do not bode well for a Gamecocks team that hasn’t won since Dec. 30.
