Texas A&M will host several priority 2027 WRs for OV’s this summer

by

Texas A&M’s recruiting success under coach Mike Elko isn’t surprising, given his success in the 2025 and 2026 signing classes. Industry experts agree the Aggies are on pace to finish with the No. 1-ranked recruiting class and have secured 10 commitments so far.

This week, a slew of top-ranked prospects in the 2027 cycle announced their official visit dates to College Station, including five-star offensive lineman Kennedy Brown, who will be on his 13th visit, while the Aggies have already received a prediction to land four-star OL Jackson Roper, who will take his OV on June 5.

At wide receiver, Elko and his staff are on pace to match their recruiting success after landing 2026 WR signees Aaron Gregory, Madden Williams, Mike Brown, and Jayden Warren, who are all considered future starters or key rotational playmakers. In the 2027 class, it was revealed this week that the Aggies will host four-star wide receivers Eric McFarland III, Jaden Upshaw, Jaiden Fields, Tre Moore, and Briceson Thrower this summer.

Right now, the Aggies are in a great position to land commitments from Tre Moore and Jaden Upshaw, while Eric McFarland is also considering USC and Ohio State. Here’s where things currently stand between him and the Aggies during his discussion with On3 recruiting insider Steve Wiltfong:

“My favorite things about them right now is how the treat me and my family with so much hospitality and they are 100 percent transparent,” McFarland stated. “What stands out about A&M is just the plan they have for me. How they treat me and how hard they recruit me.”

For Jaden Upshaw, the Georgia blue-chip wideout can “definitely see” playing under new Texas A&M OC Holmon Wiggins, while Tre Moore stated that “winning, development, and family” is the makeup of what Mike Elko and his staff are offering.
