With its Southeastern Conference debut set for Thursday, Texas women’s basketball will put a bow on nonconference play Sunday afternoon.
Ranked No. 6 in the USA TODY Sports Coaches Poll, Texas will close out its weekend with a home game against UTRGV. The Longhorns have one more nonconference game on their schedule — Texas will meet No. 8 Maryland in New Jersey on Jan. 20, 2025 — but this will be the team’s final nonconference contest before it opens league play Thursday at Oklahoma.
Texas owns an 11-0 lead in its all-time series with UTRGV. The last two meetings between these two schools have been decided by a combined 88 points.
