Texas Men, Virginia Women Finish Atop Final CSCAA Dual-Meet Poll
The University of Texas Men and University of Virginia Women finished atop the final College Swimming Coaches Association of America dual-meet poll, released Thursday.
Both teams were unanimous picks, the Longhorns after an 8-0 mark in dual meets, the Cavaliers after going 6-0.
Texas leads an unchanged top three on the men’s side from the February edition, with Indiana second and California third. Florida jumped two spots to fourth, with Arizona State fifth and Tennessee up two spots to sixth. NC State dropped from fifth to ninth.
Texas A&M (14th) and Alabama (16th) and Minnesota (21st) each rose three places, while Arizona entered the top 25 in 23rd.
There were no changes in the top five for the women, with Virginia followed by Texas, unbeaten Stanford, Tennessee and Florida. Louisville jumped two places to sixth, while California slid three spots to ninth. Princeton entered the rankings in 25th.
