For two members of the Texas women’s basketball program, this weekend’s trip to Florida is a homecoming.
Texas is participating this weekend in the Gulf Coast Showcase in Estero, Fla. Texas junior center Kyla Oldacre spent the past two seasons at Miami. Junior guard Jordana Codio is a Florida product from Winter Garden. Aaliyah Crump, who is currently the only member of UT’s 2025 recruiting class, gives the Longhorns an additional tie to the Sunshine State since she plays at Montverde Academy.
After beating New Mexico State 90-50 on Friday in its Gulf Coast Showcase opener, No. 4 Texas (5-0) will play Butler (6-1) on Saturday. Texas and Butler have never faced each other before.
