Texas isn’t just facing Aggies on the football field this weekend.
Fresh off an eight-day break, the Texas women’s basketball team will meet the New Mexico State Aggies on Friday evening. For No. 4 Texas, this will be the first of three games at the Gulf Coast Showcase in Estero, Fla. Texas will play either Butler or Santa Clara on Saturday.
Texas (4-0) and New Mexico State (3-1) have met just twice before. The Longhorns recorded a 104-67 win over the Aggies in 1991 and then beat them by 15 points in 1994.
