Texas women’s basketball: Longhorns stays put after Vandy win, South Carolina loss

by

Texas women’s basketball, unsurprisingly, is moving up in at least one major poll after 2-0 week that included a win Thursday over No. 24 Vanderbilt 87-66 and convincing 66-62 win Sunday against to South Carolina.

The Longhorns rose to third in the AP Top 25, released Monday; the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll, which the American-Statesman uses for its rankings, will be updated Tuesday

UCLA is still No. 1 in the AP after a 66-52 win over No. 8 Ohio State and a 62-52 win over Oregon. South Carolina fell two spots, to No. 4 in the AP Poll, as a result of the road loss to Texas.
