The latest SEC and NCAA Tournament odds for Kentucky Basketball

by

The Kentucky Wildcats’ late-season slide has reshaped their postseason outlook, dropping them in both the SEC title race and national odds following two straight losses.

Many fans and analysts expected a road loss at Florida, but few predicted Georgia would walk into Rupp Arena and hand Kentucky a surprising upset on Tuesday night. The Wildcats now sit at 17-9 overall and 8-5 in SEC play, part of a five-way tie for fifth place alongside Missouri, Texas, Vanderbilt, and Texas A&M.

According to FanDuel, Kentucky currently holds the fifth-best odds to win the SEC regular season at +25000. The teams ahead of the Wildcats are conference-leading Florida at -2000, followed by Arkansas (+1200), Alabama (+5000), and Tennessee (+10000). With Kentucky sitting three games behind Florida and only five regular-season games remaining, the path to the top spot has become significantly more challenging.

FanDuel lists the Wildcats at +2700 to make the Final Four in the NCAA Tournament, tying them for the 21st-best odds with Texas Tech, North Carolina, Texas A&M, and Wisconsin.

Meanwhile, for a potential championship run, according to FanDuel, Kentucky sits at +10000 to win the NCAA title, again tied for the 21st-best odds. Michigan leads all teams with +330 odds to cut down the nets.

With the SEC standings tightening and the postseason approaching, Kentucky must regroup quickly. Every game from here on out carries weight, and the Wildcats can’t afford a prolonged skid if they want to solidify their March resume.
