Of his finalists, he’s taken an official visit to Indiana. He’s also scheduled to visit Kansas on August 28th. He’s taken unofficial visits to Oklahoma State, Tennessee, and Virginia.
Prior to cutting his list down, Allmond held offers from Texas A&M, Utah, Michigan, Alabama, NC State, Missouri, Cincinnati, LSU, Rutgers, Washington, and others.
Allmond talks programs involved
In a recent interview with Rivals, Latrell Allmond discussed several — but not all — of the schools recruiting him:
INDIANA: ”I learned a lot on that visit,” Allmond said. “I learned about their new head coach, Coach (Darian) DeVries, and I got to know him a lot more and now his offense is run. We were able to see the new Indiana culture that they’re trying to establish over there. When I was there, I got to see history there, how many championships they’ve won. It’s definitely a winning culture. The school seemed like a whole big family. My relationship with the staff has grown tremendously. Coach Kenny (Johnson), I’ve known him for a while, he recruited me when he was at Georgetown. But I got to see a lot of the staff on my visit, see the new guys, and how they get into the lab with their players.”

VIRGINIA: “I’ve been in touch with that staff since they first got in at VCU. So my relationship has been on going with them. They were right up the road from me, so I’ve seen them multiple times and they’ve seen me a lot, too. That relationship has been there for a while.”
OKLAHOMA STATE: “Things are great with Oklahoma State. Coach (Steve) Lutz is a great guy. I’ve gotten to know him through assistant coach James Miller, who recruited me at Mississippi State. I’ve been able to get a feel for Lutz and who he is as a person.”
TENNESSEE: “Tennessee is right there for me. Coach (Justin) Gainey has been recruiting me since the eighth grade, so just him being there and him believing in me from the jump means a lot. I took an unofficial there, the facilities are great. They have culture there, a winning culture.”
MARYLAND: “Coach Buzz (Williams) offered me back in the eighth grade, when he was at Texas A&M. They picked things back up with me when they got to Maryland. He likes how hard I play and that I’m positionless and I’m going to make a play anywhere on the court.”

More on Allmond
Rivals’ Jamie Shaw recently wrote the following on Allmond:
Latrell Allmond was one of the stars of the NBPA Top 100 Camp, and the 6-foot-8 forward parlayed that into the June Scholastic Live Period. Playing with Petersburg (VA) High, Allmond was an offensive threat at multiple levels. He gained advantages from two and three dribbles and consistently shot the ball at a high rate.
Allmond is a noted tough guy. A player who finds winning plays consistently throughout the course of a game. A lot of that is why he is currently ranked No. 25 in the 2026 On3 150. This summer, with the Team Loaded VA program on the Adidas 3SSB Circuit, Allmond is averaging 15.0 and 7.5 rebounds while shooting 47.1 percent from three. Allmond had the baselines buzzing as he continues to be one of the biggest risers in this cycle.
