When it comes to football recruiting, it’s never too early to look ahead, right?

While the 2026 class will grab the recruiting spotlight for the next year, the stars of the 2027 class will continue to get their shine as well. Last week, we looked at the top 2027 prospects in Texas.

Now it’s time to look at the best players in 2027 coming from the Sunshine State. Here’s a look at 10 must-know players from Florida to know in the 2027 class.

Tranard Roberts

School: IMG Academy (Bradenton)

Position: Running Back

Summary: Roberts is the next man up for the Ascenders. His sophomore season saw him rush for 300 yards and four touchdowns on 42 carries.

So far, 14 programs have extended him an offer. The list includes Auburn, Colorado, Florida, Florida State, Louisville, Michigan, and Tennessee.

Kaden Henderson

School: Jesuit (Tampa)

Position: Linebacker

Summary: Henderson had his sophomore season cut short to just two games due to an injury.

With his 6-foot-2, 205-pound frame, he already has the look of a college prospect. He already holds 30 offers, including Alabama, Florida, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oregon, and Tennessee.

Charles Robertson

School: IMG Academy (Bradenton)

Position: Safety

Summary: It will be interesting to see what other programs start coming Robertson’s way now that he’s transferred to IMG Academy.

Before the move, he was a frequent visitor to USC. He holds offers from Alabama, Florida, Ole Miss, and other notable Power Four programs.

Amarri Irvin

School: IMG Academy (Bradenton)

Position: Linebacker

Summary: Irvin got valuable playing time for the Ascenders during his sophomore season. He accounted for 51 tackles for a loaded IMG defense.

He has 24 offers, nearly all from major Power Four programs, but expect that list to rise over the next couple of seasons.

Sean Tatum

School: John Carroll (Fort Pierce)

Position: Offensive Tackle

Summary: Tatum is a massive tackle who will only get bigger in the next two years.

The 6-foot-2, 280-pounder has already caught the eye of several programs, so expect his list of offers to rise dramatically. His most significant looks so far include Florida, Miami, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

Nick Lennear

School: Northwestern (Miami)

Position: Wide Receiver

Summary: The Bulls had a potent passing attack, and Lennear played a massive role in that success. He accounted for 657 yards and 11 touchdowns on 38 receptions during their state title run.

The 6-foot-0, 160-pounder has the makings of a top-50 recruit in the 2027 class, which is why programs like Colorado and Georgia have already offered.

Censere Gaylord

School: IMG Academy (Bradenton)

Position: Cornerback

Summary: Another California to Florida transfer for the Ascenders.

Standing at 6-foot-0 and 160 pounds, Gaylord’s list of offers already is impressive. Programs like Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, and Notre Dame have already extended offers his way.

Julius Jones

School: St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale)

Position: Wide Receiver

Summary: When you’re leading a national powerhouse like Aquinas in receiving as a sophomore, that typically means good things for the future.

And Jones certainly didn’t skip a beat last season, catching 51 passes for 750 yards and six touchdowns. Notre Dame is a team to keep an eye on as Jones’ recruitment progresses, but he also holds several more Power Four offers.

Sean Thompson

School: Miami Central (Miami)

Position: Wide Receiver

Summary: Thompson’s a big receiver with a ton of upside.

The 6-foot-2, 180-pounder currently holds offers from Kentucky, Miami, SMU, and Texas A&M. His recruitment will be one to keep an eye on over the next few years.

Osani Gayles

School: IMG Academy (Bradenton)

Position: Wide Receiver

Summary: Originally from California, Gayles announced in January that he was transferring to IMG Academy. His sophomore season saw him account for 1,251 all-purpose yards and 11 total touchdowns.

Gayles currently holds 20 offers. West Coast schools like Stanford, UCLA and USC are the early favorites in his recruitment.
