Kansas basketball might be closing in on another elite addition.
Dame Sarr, a 6-foot-6 international shooting guard originally from Italy, is now trending heavily toward the Jayhawks.
On Monday, 247Sports recruiting insider Travis Branham logged a Crystal Ball prediction in favor of Kansas, signaling growing momentum behind Bill Self’s staff.

“Wanted to chime in here — things sounding very positive with Kansas and Dame Sarr,” Branham posted. “I have posted a Crystal Ball for Sarr to the Jayhawks.”
Sarr has long been considered one of the most skilled international prospects in the 2025 class.
With his fluid scoring ability, defensive instincts, and high-level basketball IQ, he’s drawn comparisons to recent European stars who made smooth transitions to the American college game.
According to Eric Bossi, another recruiting expert and national analyst, an announcement from Sarr could be on the way soon.
“Sarr announcement should be coming soon and all indications are that Kansas is in great shape,” Bossi wrote. “Working for more confirmation on timing etc.”

Sarr’s recruitment has included heavy interest from high-major programs, including Duke.
However, multiple industry sources believe Kansas now holds the clear edge.
That could be a significant win for a Jayhawks team looking to rebound from a frustrating 21-13 season that ended in a first-round NCAA Tournament exit.

Kansas already has top-5 recruit Darryn Peterson set to join the program next year. Adding Sarr would give Bill Self back-to-back potential lottery-caliber wings to build around.
With Sarr’s announcement potentially on the horizon, Kansas fans have reason to be optimistic — and maybe a little impatient — as one of the most intriguing international names in the class inches closer to a decision.
