NCAA Women’s Championships: Torri Huske Second-Fastest Ever in 100 Free, Sweeps 3 Individual Events

Torri Huske certainly put the stamp on her final NCAA Championships.

The Stanford senior crushed the field in the 100-yard freestyle to become the second-fastest performer in history and the only swimmer of the meet to win three individual events at the 2026 NCAA Division I Women’s Swimming and Diving Championship at Georgia Tech.

“I saw Lucy’s back half and I was so inspired,” Huske said in the on-deck interview.

Huske won the 100 butterfly, 50 free and 100 free titles this week – three that she had never won before. She was the 2025 200 IM NCAA champ and was part of the 2022 800 freestyle relay title.  She is a six-time NCAA runner-up.

Her versatility has made her one of the most decorated but also one of the most important swimmers in the U.S., especially in international competition.

Huske won the 2021 Olympic trials in the 100 butterfly in an American record then was part of a the silver medal 400 medley relay in Tokyo. In 2024, Huske become one of the world’s best with Olympic gold in the 100 butterfly as well as the 400 medley relay and 400 mixed medley relay. She also won silver in the 100 free and on the 400 free relay, giving her a total of six Olympic medals, three gold and three silver – so far.

Huske looked like one of the world’s best in her final individual collegiate swim on Saturday, March 21.

She took an early lead and continued to build it. She turned almost a body length ahead on the first turn, then touched at the 50 at 21.41.

Virginia took the next two spots with Anna Moesch taking second in 45.54 and Sara Curtis just behind in 45.77.

Indiana’s Liberty Clark finished fourth in 46.11, followed by Tennessee’s Camille Spink (46.28), Cal’s Mary-Ambre Moluh (46.30), Alabama’s Cadence Vincent (46.87) and Louisville’s Julia Dennis (47.02).
