TRENDING RUMORS
– Antony is surplus to requirements at Manchester United, but he has plenty of suitors after an explosive loan spell with Real Betis in the second half of last season, scoring nine goals in 24 starts. The LaLiga club cannot afford to sign the winger permanently, but Sky Sports reports that Bayer Leverkusen will have the funds if Florian Wirtz completes a move to Liverpool for upwards of £100 million. Leverkusen are now coached by Erik ten Hag, and it would be the third time he’s signed the 25-year-old. Ten Hag took Antony to Ajax in 2020, and then at Old Trafford in 2022 for £80m.
– Arsenal are looking at making a move for Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers and Feyenoord‘s Igor Paixão, according to The Times. Rogers, 22, had a superb season at Villa, scoring eight goals and registering 11 assists in the Premier League — and also becoming a regular for England. However, Rogers has a contract through to 2030 so the deal would be expensive. The 24-year-old Paixão, who has yet to win a senior cap for Brazil, would be much cheaper. Arsenal are also linked to Bayern Munich‘s Leroy Sané and Athletic Club‘s Nico Williams, whose release clause is €58m but would have a large salary.
– Atletico Madrid have reached an agreement on personal terms with USMNT midfielder Johnny Cardoso and are advancing in talks regarding a deal with Real Betis, reports Fabrizio Romano. In another tweet, Romano states Betis want €40m but Atleti are looking for a €30m package for the 23-year-old, who wants the move.
– Barcelona have contacted Liverpool about Luis Díaz but were told that the winger will not be leaving Anfield this summer, reports The Athletic, although a fresh agreement on his contract isn’t expected with the 28-year-old’s current deal ending in 2027. The Reds would be willing to let the Colombia international play out his contract and leave as a free agent unless an offer is made that would allow them to sign a replacement of similar or superior quality.
– Internazionale have made an initial contact with Manchester United about signing Rasmus Hojlund, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport, who suggest that this is the only obstacle as the striker wants to join the Serie A club. I Nerazzurri want a loan including a €45m option to permanently sign the 22-year-old that would become an obligation under certain conditions, but the Red Devils are pushing for an immediate, permanent departure.
CONFIRMED DEALS
