Ty Gibbs is finally a winner in the NASCAR Cup Series. After a brilliant strategy call by the No. 54 team, Gibbs won the Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway on Sunday afternoon. The driver of the No. 54 car earned his first career Cup Series victory and joined a very prestigious list after winning at Bristol.

Gibbs joins Dale Earnhardt Sr., Rusty Wallace, Ernie Irvin, Elliott Sadler, and Kurt Busch as drivers to win their first career Cup Series race at Bristol. It was a long time coming for the Joe Gibbs Racing driver, who nearly won both NASCAR races at Bristol during the 2025 Cup Series season.
