Tyler Herro acknowledged the frustration surrounding the Miami Heat’s 2025/26 season, but he’s focused on moving ahead, according to Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald.

The year has been anything but smooth for Miami, with injuries and inconsistency playing a major role.

“It’s been a long, weird, awkward season,” Herro said. “Different injuries, in and out. I started the season out, obviously, for kind of like an indefinite time, not really knowing when I was coming back.

“So it’s just like taking it one step at a time, one day at a time and one game at a time.”

Despite the ups and downs, Herro made it clear what he wants to change going forward.

“I need to get out of the play-in,” he said

Herro has played 7 seasons for the Heat. He has averaged 19.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 394 regular-season games.

He was selected to play in 1 All-Star game, and has won 1 Sixth Man of the Year award.
