UConn’s Sarah Strong and LSU’s Mikaylah Williams will feature for the U.S. senior national team in 3×3 women’s basketball this summer.
The pair of collegiate stars were named on Wednesday to the roster for the 2025 FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series, which begins this weekend in Marseille, France. Strong and Williams, each coming off impressive college seasons for the Huskies and Tigers, are joining on the roster by 3×3 veteran and Olympic medalist Cierra Burdick, and rising Oklahoma junior Sahara Williams.

Strong is coming off a stellar freshman season at UConn where she was named Freshman of the Year by the WBCA and landed on multiple All-American teams. The versatile forward averaged 16.4 points, 8.9 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game while helping UConn win its 12th national championship. In the 3×3 game, she is a three-time FIBA 3×3 U18 Women’s World Cup champion, winning in 2022, 2023 and 2024. Last summer, she also won gold at the FIBA U18 Women’s AmeriCup in Bucaramanga, Colombia.
A sophomore this past season, Mikaylah Williams helped LSU advance to the Elite Eight for the second straight season by averaging 17.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game. She was an honorable mention All-American and landed on the All-SEC First Team. She’s won quite a bit in the 3×3 ranks as well, capturing three U18 gold medals and twice being named USA Basketball 3×3 Female Athlete of the Year.
Burdick, who finished her college career at Tennessee in 2015, has played a bit in the WNBA and professionally overseas, but has shined in the 3×3 game, piling up four gold medals in FIBA competition, and then helping the Americans capture the bronze at the 2024 Summer Games.
Sahara Williams has been a two-year starter at Oklahoma, averaging 10.5 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. Like Strong and Mikaylah Williams, she won the 3×3 U18 World Cup title in 2022 and 2023.
