UFC 312 is down a fight.

Just prior to the start of Friday’s official weigh-ins in Sydney, commentator Jon Anik broke the news that the scheduled opening prelim between HyunSung Park and Nyamjargal Tumendemberel has been canceled.

UFC 312 (pay-per-view, ESPN2/Disney+, ESPN+) takes place Saturday at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney and will continue with 12 fights.

Tumendemberel (9-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) weight issues were to blame for the cancellation. Neither he, nor Park (8-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) weighed in. It’s unclear what the promotion’s next move for either man is.

With the change, the UFC 312 lineup now includes:

MAIN CARD (Pay-per-view, 10 p.m. ET)

  • Champ Dricus Du Plessis vs. Sean Strickland – for middleweight title

  • Champ Zhang Weili vs. Tatiana Suarez – for women’s strawweight title
