Bo Nickal tasted defeat the hard way.
At UFC on ESPN 67 in May 2025, Reinier de Ridder became the first man to defeat Nickal, a blue-chip prospect. It was something few expected as Nickal carried a ton of hype from his success in the wrestling world. Yet, de Ridder not only defeated Nickal, but he also stopped him in brutal fashion. De Ridder did a lot of body work in Round 1 and at the start of Round 2, de Ridder blasted Nickal with a nasty knee to the chest, sending him down to the canvas.

De Ridder (21-3 MMA, 4-1 UFC) returns to the cage Saturday in the co-main event of UFC 326 (Paramount+, CBS) at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Looking to bounce back from his first UFC loss, de Ridder takes on Brazil’s Caio Borralho (17-2 MMA, 7-1 UFC) in a middleweight contest.
