UFC 326 main card revealed with one notable exception

UFC 326 is just five weeks away, and it still doesn’t have a co-main event.

On Saturday, UFC 325 went down in Sydney, with Alexander Volkanovski successfully defending his featherweight title in his rematch against Diego Lopes. During the broadcast, as has become customary for the UFC, the promotion revealed the official main card for its next numbered event, UFC 326, which is headlined by a “BMF” title fight between Max Holloway and Charles Oliveira, and notably, absent from the graphic was a co-main event bout.

The four bouts on the UFC 326 main card were first announced in December, with the aforementioned Holloway vs. Oliveira rematch, the middleweight battle between Caio Borralho and Reinier de Ridder, the bantamweight contest between Rob Font and Raul Rosas Jr., and the middleweight slugfest between Gregory Rodrigues and Bruno Ferreira. At the time, there was some speculation that the Borralho-de Ridder bout would serve as the co-main event, but that is not the plan for the UFC, at least not currently.

There’s no word yet on what fight may fill that slot, though the promotion did lose a bout on the card earlier on Saturday when Brian Ortega revealed he was out of his scheduled lightweight fight with Renato Moicano

UFC 326 takes place on March 7 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
