Raul Rosas Jr. picked up the most marquee win of his career Saturday when he dominated veteran Rob Font at UFC 326.
It wasn’t necessarily pretty, but Rosas (12-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC) used his grappling to get the unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) nod at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Plagued by an inability to get up off his back when going against higher-level grapplers, Font (22-10 MMA, 12-9 UFC) struggled to prevent Rosas from draping himself all over him. Rosas landed 16 takedowns on Font, while a mere 18 significant strikes were landed from the two fighters combined. The lackluster affair fit right in with a dull UFC 326 undercard.
With the win, Rosas, 21, has won five fights in a row. Saturday’s bout was his first time against promotion-ranked competition. Font, 38, has lost back-to-back fights. In September, he was upset by relative newcomer David Martinez, who has since gone on to beat Marlon Vera.
