Vicente Luque is moving on up.
Up to middleweight the longtime UFC welterweight staple goes as he aligns for a matchup vs. surging promotional returnee Kyle Daukaus. The bout takes place April 10 at Kaseya Center in Miami. The promotion announced the matchup Tuesday after it was first reported by Home of Fight.

Luque (23-12-1 MMA, 16-8 UFC) heads to middleweight after 24 promotional appearances at welterweight. A member of the organization since 2015, Luque quickly established himself as an upper-echelon fighter. However, coming off back-to-back losses and with a 2-5 record in his most recent seven outings, he looks to breathe new life into his career at a fresh weight class.
Daukaus (17-4 MMA, 4-4 UFC) finds himself surging in his second UFC stint. He went 2-4 in one no contest in the UFC from June 2020 to December 2022. After his departure from the promotion, Daukaus returned to CFFC where he went 3-0 in title fights with three finishes.
He returned to the UFC in August and finished Michel Pereira with strikes in 43 seconds. He followed that up with another quick finish in November when his signature D’Arce choke did the trick against Gerald Meerschaert in 50 seconds.
The updated UFC 327 lineup includes:
-
Champion Joshua Van vs. Tatsuro Taira – for flyweight title
-
Curtis Blaydes vs. Josh Hokit
-
Dominick Reyes vs. Johnny Walker
-
Loopy Godinez vs. Tatiana Suarez
