UFC 327 ‘Fight Motion’: Carlos Ulberg’s KO stunner, super slow motion

by

The UFC’s return to South Florida this past week featured an all-time memorable finish in the main event.

Carlos Ulberg (14-1 MMA, 10-1 UFC) won the light heavyweight title against former champion Jiri Prochazka (32-6-1 MMA, 6-3 UFC) with a stunning first-round knockout. But that KO only came after Prochazka appeared to have Ulberg on the ropes with a seriously compromised right leg.

Prochazka seemed to play with his food, proverbially speaking, and it cost him when Ulberg clipped him, virtually on one good leg, put him on the canvas and finished him for the vacant belt.

In the co-main event at Kaseya Center in Miami, Paulo Costa (16-4 MMA, 8-4 UFC) pulled off the biggest upset of the night when he handed Azamat Murzakanov (16-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC) the first loss of his career with a third-round knockout.

In addition, though he was positively insulted by the UFC for not getting a performance bonus in h is retirement fight, Cub Swanson (31-14 MMA, 16-10 UFC) ended his UFC Hall of Fame career with a knockout of Nate Landwehr (18-8 MMA, 5-6 UFC) to open the main card.
