The biggest UFC event of 2026 so far ended up with some historic and significant results with UFC 328 seeing one new champion crowned, while another defended.
In the main event, Sean Strickland (31-7 MMA, 18-7 UFC) claimed the middleweight championship for a second time when he upset Khamzat Chimaev (15-1 MMA, 9-1 UFC) by split decision, while the co-headliner saw the promotion’s youngest champ Joshua Van (16-2 MMA, 10-1 UFC) defend flyweight gold for the first time in a fifth-round TKO of Tatsuro Taira (18-2 MMA, 8-2 UFC).
