The UFC is going on the road around the world in August, and the first day of the month will be the promotion’s first-ever event in Belgrade, Serbia.
UFC announced Monday that a Fight Night will be held in the capital of Serbia on Aug. 1, but has yet to confirm the venue and the headlining attraction for the card.

Uros Medic and Dusko Todorovic are two Serbian fighters currently under contract with the promotion and could be options to be featured at the event. Medic is on a three-fight finishing streak after stopping Geoff Neal in his most recent bout in February, and Todorovic snapped a losing skid with a first-round submission over Jose Medina.
Following the win over Neal, Medic made an impassioned plea for the UFC to host an event in his home country and he now gets his wish.
Nine of the 13 UFC events announced through August take place outside of Las Vegas, including trips to China, Azerbaijan and Serbia, plus this Saturday’s Fight Night in Perth, Australia.
