Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) continues to trim its expansive roster of mixed martial arts (MMA) talent.
Today (Thurs., March 11, 2026), it was revealed that three fighters have been removed from UFC’s active roster, meaning they have been released from their respective contracts and/or the promotion decided not to extend them. Guilherme Cruz reported the news.

The three fighters who lost their jobs are: Montse Rendon, Luan Lacerda, and Terrance Saeteurn.
Rendon’s release is a bit of a head-scratcher.
Cutting a fighter in a division with only 30 active athletes rarely makes sense on the surface. Still, Rendon (7-2) is out after going 2-2 inside the Octagon — perhaps because she has yet to record a finish in her professional career.
The Mexican fighter won her UFC debut with a split-decision victory over Tamires Vidal and later spoiled the UFC debut of Alice Pereira. However, in her most recent outing, she was run over and submitted in just two minutes by top prospect Bia Mesquita, which ultimately proved costly (watch highlights).
Lacerda (13-4) also exits the promotion after a rocky run.

The Brazilian struggled to stay active during his UFC tenure, competing just four times. He went 0-2 in 2023 before returning in 2025 to submit Saimon Oliveira with a nasty armbar (watch highlights). Unfortunately, momentum didn’t last, as he dropped a unanimous decision to Hecher Sosa in his most recent appearance.
Lacerda leaves the UFC with a 1-3 promotional record.
Saeteurn (8-2), meanwhile, had the shortest stay of the three.
After grinding on the regional scene since 2022, he finally got the call to face Nyamjargal Tumendemberel on short notice at Road to UFC: Shanghai — the fight card featured two UFC fights on top of the regular tournament fights. The opportunity didn’t go his way, as he was submitted in under three minutes, snapping his five-fight winning streak.
At just 30 years old, however, Saeteurn still has time to regroup and potentially work his way back to the big show.
