The UFC’s annual stop in Mexico featured mixed results for home country athletes, and ultimately the biggest name of them all fell short at UFC Fight Night 268 on Saturday at Arena CDMX in Mexico City.

Lone’er Kavanagh (10-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC) made a statement of intent as a flyweight contender when he upset former champion Brandon Moreno (23-10-2 MMA, 11-6-2 UFC) by unanimous decision after taking the fight on three weeks’ notice.

The UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance payout for the event totaled $175,000.

Debuting fighters went 5-1 at the event.

Kavanagh, Imanol Rodriguez, Regina Tarin and Ernesta Kareckaite earned $100,000 UFC Fight Night 268 fight-night bonuses. Five fighters earned $25,000 finish bonuses.

UFC Fight Night 268 did not have an announced live gate or attendance figure.

Betting favorites went 10-3 on the card.

Betting favorites fell to 2-3 in UFC headliners this year.

Daniel Zellhuber’s (15-4 MMA, 3-4 UFC) three-fight losing skid is the longest of his career. He hasn’t earned a victory since February 2024.

Zellhuber suffered the first stoppage loss of his career with a TKO defeat.

Edgar Chairez def. Felipe Bunes

Edgar Chairez (13-6 MMA, 3-2 UFC) earned the first decision victory of his career.

Felipe Bunes (14-9 MMA, 1-3 UFC) has suffered six of his nine career losses by decision.

Imanol Rodriguez def. Kevin Borjas
